Little Paint Ranch (LPR) is a small (12+ acre) Paint Horse operation (or will be!) located in Algoa (Alvin/Santa Fe), Texas. The property was purchased in December of 2004 and occupied in November of 2006. We continue to improve our facilities and prepare our new pasture and barn for the upcoming arrival of our currently-boarded and in-training Paint horses.

The new barn going up in the late summer of 2009. The shell is now totally complete and the cement work is scheduled for the Spring of 2010 (weather permitting!).

The second hay-cutting of my fertilized Jiggs pasture in the summer of 2009. It yielded almost twice the number of bales as the first cutting! A really nice couple from Texas City comes out and does this for me. Thanks to Damon Farm & Ranch in Damon, TX for the great work they do fertilizing my pasture and keeping it weed-free!

Our 'herd' includes our main show horse, Camptown Cowboy B ('Cowboy' - 1998 Tobiano Gelding), Ultrabandit ('Bandit' - 2003 Solid Paint Bred Mare), Zippos Gold Mastrcard ('Rudy' - 2007 Tobiano Stallion) and Mr Bugs Moon ('Bugs' - 1994 Overo Gelding). Our newest addition is 'Twitch', a 2010 Black & White Tobiano Colt! Cowboy and Bandit are both double registered with APHA/PtHA. Bandit, however, qualified for full-color registration with PtHA (who we mainly show with, anyway). Rudy is in the process of being registered with PtHA, and Bugs will be registered with PtHA as soon as we get his transfer APHA papers.

Here's Bugs (1994 Overo Gelding), added to the family in Jan. 2009. He's one that anybody can ride, which was my goal when I was looking for him. Thanks go to my neighbor Barbara for helping me with this purchase while I was in Iraq! Barbara is also kindly boarding Bugs and Bandit for me while I'm stationed in Atlanta (2010).
